Crown or Clown

This isn't your office pool. Three twelve-man leagues, fifty dollars a seat, eighteen weeks of war. Each league runs its own $600 pot, paid 100% to its own top three — two boards are open to anyone, escrowed through LeagueSafe. But the crown — and the vest — are decided across all three. Luck gets exposed. Skill gets paid.

The purse · 100% paid · zero rake

Six hundred.$600.

Twelve seats at $50 makes $600, and all $600 goes back to the managers. Zero rake, no house cut, no admin fee — held in escrow and paid out in full when the season ends. Top three cash: first takes $400, second $125, third $75. All three leagues run this exact same $600 pot, each paid to its own top three. The crown and the vest stay singular — awarded overall, across all three leagues.

One league's ladder — and all three pay the same. The trophy and the vest sit outside it: highest and lowest points-for across every team in all three leagues. Win your league and you might still not get the trophy.

Three boards.
Same stakes.

Same stakes on every board — 12 seats, $50 in, $600 out, same rules, same scoring. Leagues 2 and 3 are open to anyone: pay on LeagueSafe and your ESPN invite comes straight back to you. The Expansion League is a private, locally-run board — closed to public entry, but its standings run live below like the rest. Enter both open leagues if you like — one team per league.

Standings

Every league's board, pulled live from ESPN. Top three in each league get paid. The crown and the vest are settled on points-for across all three leagues combined — it doesn't matter which board you drafted on.

Custom acrylic, laser-etched “Champion 2026 · The Expansion League's Proving Ground · Last Man Standing.” One trophy across all three 12-man leagues — highest points-for anywhere wins. Yours on the mantel all year. TrophySmack hardware.

The reckoning
The Loser Vest
Hi-vis and unmissable: “Please be patient — I suck at fantasy football.” One vest across all three leagues. Lowest points-for anywhere in the field — regardless of which league you drafted in — wears it. Yes, there are photos.
And for dead last…

Somebody Wears It

Finish dead last across all three leagues and you don't just lose — you suit up. The hi-vis loser vest — "Please be patient, I suck at fantasy football" — is yours to wear, and yes, there are photos. One crown. One vest. Doesn't matter which league you drafted in — if you finished with the lowest points-for anywhere in the field, you're the one wearing it.

Points allowed is the only D/ST bonus — there is no yards-allowed bonus, because DraftKings doesn't have one. It's switched off in the ESPN settings.

A word on precision — and how we keep it exact. ESPN scores every game live off the official NFL stats, the same source DraftKings uses, so your points match DraftKings the overwhelming majority of the time. Two spots can differ by a hair: ESPN's D/ST points-allowed brackets split at 21 where DraftKings splits at 20 (a defense allowing exactly 21 earns +1 on ESPN, 0 on DraftKings), and once in a while a late stat correction can move a player across a DraftKings yardage-bonus line (100 rushing, 100 receiving, or 300 passing = +3). Here’s the promise: after each week’s official stat corrections are final, the commissioner trues every score up to DraftKings using ESPN’s league-manager scoring adjustment — so your final score is DraftKings, to the decimal. Nothing to argue about.

How it’s timed, so you always know where you stand: live scores during games are provisional — that’s ESPN scoring in real time. Once the NFL’s official corrections are final (ESPN’s deadline is the Saturday after the games), the DraftKings true-up is applied and the week is locked, before the next week kicks off. Think a score is off? Message the commissioner in the league chat with the player and the DraftKings number before the next week kicks off — it’s checked against the official box score and DraftKings and corrected before the week locks. No score decides money until it matches DraftKings.

Two boards are open — League 2 and League 3, same stakes, same rules. Each runs its own escrowed $600 pot, paid to its top three inside that league. The crown and the vest, though, are singular — awarded overall across all three leagues, the private one included. Highest points-for anywhere wears the crown. Lowest anywhere wears the vest. Multi-entry is allowed — take a seat in both open boards if you want — but it's one team per league, no exceptions. Each entry is its own $50, paid on that league's own LeagueSafe page.

01

Pick a league and pay $50 on its LeagueSafe by midnight Thu Sep 3

Each league has its own LeagueSafe page — pay the one you want a seat in. Escrowed and safe, released only to the winners. No chasing Venmo, no IOUs, no "I'll get you next week."

02

Accept your ESPN league invite

The invite link for that exact league comes back to you the moment you're paid in. First in, first locked. Want a second team? Pay a different league — never the same one twice.

Be at the live draft — Sat Sep 5

League 2 at 6 PM · League 3 at 9 PM Mountain, three hours apart so you can draft both if you entered both. (The private Expansion League drafts Friday the 4th at 7 PM.) Bring your board. Leave your excuses. Autopick is how careers end.

Pay through LeagueSafe

Your $50 entry is held in escrow and paid back out in full to the top three — zero rake, no house cut. Twelve seats make $600, and all $600 goes to the podium: $400 / $125 / $75. Both open leagues have their own LeagueSafe page, so pay the board you want a seat on and your ESPN invite comes straight back to you.
